He founded Future Forests Ltd in 1997 as a vehicle for providing carbon neutral opportunities for any individual, production activity and commercial enterprise. With more than 50,000 supporters, Future Forests is now the world-leader in this field and the owner of the trademark CarbonNeutral®.

Since inception, there has been considerable interest from the artistic community, particularly music and movies. Dan has already enlisted a number of high-profile artistes around the world to offset the CO2 generated by their live tours, CD production or movies. These artists include The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Joe Strummer, Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood and Leonardo DiCaprio and many others. Bernardo Bertolucci and Roland Emmerich are supporters and several Hollywood blockbusters such as “The Day After Tomorrow” have committed to becoming carbon neutral. More than 70 million compact discs sold throughout the world are carbon neutral.

Prior to founding Future Forests, Dan worked in the advertising, brand development and communications businesses working alongside most of the major agencies.
